A French tôle chandelier, the frame with five candle arms terminating in gilt metal socles in the form of stylised acanthus foliage. The body profusely decorated with multiple tôle leaves of rose, hawthorn, holly and others embellished further with fine porcelain flowers in the manner of sevres of varying design.
‘Tôle’ is a French word that is used to describe painted or enameled metal ware. This chandelier is painted with gilt details.
