I love antiques.
That is not to say I love all antiques, I only get excited by the extraordinary, the unusual and interesting pieces that every now and then come on the market. They don’t have to be the most expensive, but they do have to be unusual and different. That is what makes them interesting, collectible and desirable. There is no point in my mind, collecting poor quality common pieces that are in no way rare or unusual.
I only collect pieces that I will probably never see another example of, or fine examples of known models that represent the very best. Tied up in the design of that piece are all the qualities that represent the periods social history, taste and appreciation of beautiful hand made objects.
